The Annual San Clemente Car Show

Held every year for vehicles from 1970 and older, the San Clemente car show opened up the entries this year to include newer cars.  While this show has historically been dominated by some fabulous “Woodies” in this surfing town, a strong contingent of component-built cars were present.  San Clemente is also home to Swift Engineering (race cars), who had a 2000 Champ Car on display.  A crowd favorite was a very expensive row of Mercedes 300SL gullwings and convertibles, with a few 190SL to round out the space.  While it wasn’t the grassy venues of Pebble Beach, admission was free and no one left disappointed.
